    Windows 10 CLR error


    Hi, for the past few days i've been getting a CLR error (error 80004005) on my pc that has windows 10 installed. From my understanding i've been told it's an issue with my device picking up 2 different versions of .net framework and the best option is to uninstall it and reinstall it to fix it. However, windows 10 has it inbuilt, thus it doesn't show up in the uninstaller panel. The error occurs when i try to open particular programs such as "discord" and among others. After numerous attempts and methods to fix it i decided to completely wipe my HDD and my SSD (that had windows) and reinstall windows as if it was a fresh computer, yet i'm still getting this CLR error.

    anyone have any suggestions or methods to fix this?

    clr error 80004005

    After installing Windows 10 update on July 13 2017. I get the follow error when running several 3rd party apps.

    CLR error: 80004005.

    The program will now terminate.

    All the information I can gather point to it being a .NET Framework issue.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 CLR error

    CLR error: 80004005

    I am running Windows 10 and, when trying to install ufile 2017, I’m getting the CLR error: 80004005 The program will now terminate. About 6 months ago, I started getting this message when powering up the computer but it didn't impact any of the programs
    that I was using. Anyone know how to fix this?
