Windows 10: Windows 10 computer shows black screen with cursor.

Hello. I have a windows 10 computer and it shows a black screen with cursor before login. I have tried to do commands to open up task manager and its no use. I have checked to make sure my key board is on also. I did that by clicking keys such as caps lock and num lock and the light did in fact come on. I have also tried holding the power button for 5-10 seconds to be able to access Recovery Enviornment but on the second try it opens up Support assist. I have yet to be able to access Recovery Envirnment. After the test that takes around 1min 30 seconds it says no problems found. It then shows preparing automatic repair. Thats when the black screen with cursor shows up. How am I able to resolve this problem.

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?

Please follow the below suggestion and check if that helps.

If you see the black screen only
after sign-in and you can see a mouse cursor:

• While at the black screen, try using CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to start Task Manager.
  
• If it becomes visible, try finding LockAppHost.exe on the Details tab and ending the task.
  

If this resolves the black screen, use corruption resolution steps.

Perform SFC scan.

I would also suggest you to run the System update readiness command. It detects incorrect manifests, cabinets or registry data, it may replace the incorrect data with corrected version available. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click command prompt (Run as administrator).
• In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press
  Enter key after each command:
  • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
  • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

To close the Administrator: Command prompt window, type
Exit, and then press Enter.

How can I do the steps listed above, there is nothing but a black screen, nothing to click on. When I restart the computer, there is no problem. But sooner or later I get the black screen. I mean my Mom just bought a brand new computer, and it also does
it to her. Could the screensaver be causing the problem? It is a screensaver that comes with Windows 10.
