Windows 10: Windows 10 Computers won't go to Sleep

I have many computers in my home office. NUCs, Microsoft Surface Book and Pro, Desktops, Mon-Microsoft H/W Laptops, etc all running Windows 10, Some are for home use some are for work and for the most part don't have the same software loaded. For some reason they are all now having trouble going to sleep. Even though they have it set to sleep when closing the lid, they don't. If I click the button in the Windows start menu to sleep sometimes it starts to sleep and then stops and returns to the desktop. Sometimes it goes to sleep or seems like it went to sleep and the next morning I find it awake. I've tried looking at.


powercfg -requests



and it will list several categories with NONE under them so according to Windows nothing is requesting power that would prevent it from sleeping. This is a recent issue that only started in the past couple of months but its now happening on 7 different Windows 10 6 Pro, 1 Home edition computers. Does anyone have an idea of what could have changed that would effect all the computers? I don't want to just blame the big Windows update that happened earlier this year that required two reboots, but I'm running out of ideas.


I thought about Malware, but each has some Brand name anti-malware on it and none of them are picking up anything. Could be a zero day thing, but I would think that if its interacting with the OS to prevent something at least one of the different scanners would have flagged it as suspicious.

Windows 10 hangs in sleep mode

turning off sleep mode to force it into hibernate.



What happens with that? It would require you to tap the power switch to wake the machine from the Hibernation state.
