Windows 10: Windows 10 consumer editions, version 2004 - DVD

I was looking at portal.azure with my university account and I noticed they are allowing me to claim a Windows 10 consumer editions, version 2004 key. My question is, what Windows exactly is it? Also, will it expire after sometime or is it just a normal windows key?

Can I use it on my PC or should I not?


I haven't been able to find any information other than:


"For this multi-edition Consumer media, use a product key specific to the edition in the list you want to activate.From the desktop, select the Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Activation. Select Change product key and enter your product key. If the key is valid, you'll be asked to confirm the edition change, and Windows then performs it for you."

Windows 10 Version 2004 update

I installed the Windows 10 Version 2004 update and my DVD device no longer appears as a device in File Explorer. The DVD does appear in Device Manager. The driver is listed as installed. How do I get my DVD device back?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”

Windows 10 (consumer edition), version 1803 (Updated Aug 2018)

Product codes are interchangeable / usable on both the Business and Consumer ISO's. Just FYI. I have some or my keys listed for both. My 10 Pro keys can be used for either ISO for example. And even if I install with the Consumer edition ISO, I can change key to Enterprise.
