    Windows 10 Copying Files Issue


    Hi all,



    I have encountered several times issues regarding copying files on Windows 10. It does not matter where it is being copied from and to on the laptop or even to and from an external hard drive.



    This is the latest version of Windows 10 20H2, but I have encountered this on earlier versions and also using Win 10 Pro and Win 10 Education. Also the same issue occurs regardless of the manufacturer of the laptop, in this case HP or Lenovo.


    These are not imaged laptops or any modifications has not been done.


    I believe the issue is certainly to do with updates.


    Anyone else experienced this ?

    You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
    You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
