Windows 10: Windows 10 crashes after restart, but not after a shutdown

Discus and support Windows 10 crashes after restart, but not after a shutdown in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I think something is wrong with my laptop mainboard, i tried different Window in different Disk but it's still crashing the same way...     Windows 10 crashes after restart, but not after a shutdown


    I think something is wrong with my laptop mainboard, i tried different Window in different Disk but it's still crashing the same way... Can somebody help me with this please, i'm hopeless

    Windows 10 pro will not shutdown or restart. Gets stuck

    I tried to shutdown and restart my pc but both times they STUCK! I left it for 15 minutes and still had to force shutdown

    hsx_cnxt.sys shutdown/restart crash

    Work around

    I have not used this device in many years and don't need it. My work around:

    • win key +x
    • click device manager
    • expand modems
    • Highlight the Conexant device then right click
    • Click Disable
    • Close device manager
    • Check if shutown/hibernate /sleep/restart crashes
    • easiest way: use shutdown and it should not reboot
    • if it continues to crash and reboot, do a c:/windows/mindump/(select latest file) analysis using OSR Homepage - OSR (run browser in admin mode or dump file is not accessible)
