Windows 10: Windows 10 create 2 user profile after upgrade to version 1709

Hi all, today i just installed my windows 10 home "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709" (i only has 1 user account). After finished installing i find out that my windows doesn't load my last current user account profile, instead it create a new user profile with additional dot in folder C:\User




Anyone know how to fix this issue? How to change back my user account, since it has my files and work configuration there. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for getting back to us, Rick. We understand that you want to use the computer smoothly after upgrading to version 1709. Since the issue still persists after running the DISM and SFC tools, there is a possibility that the current user profile that
you're using is corrupted. We recommend creating a new administrator account
to verify if the issue will occur while using the new account.

If you've already rolled back to the previous version and the issue always occur after installing the 1709 update, the update may be corrupted. We suggest
performing an in-place upgrade to update your desktop to
the latest version of Windows 10. This will allow you to use a different copy of the update to see if the performance of the computer will be fine after installing version 1709.

Are you getting a temporary profile error like in the tutorial below when you sign in to the account?

i'm not getting that kind of error like that. but your solution fixed my problem anyway, thanks for the help

 

I'm glad it was able to help. You read my mind for updating the profile folder path in the registry.
