    Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4515384 "Failed to install" error 0x80070002


    Searching for insight into this Windows 10 update error. I've experienced it now 3 successive times, beginning with KB4515384 and then again with KB4514359 and KB4516115. If others have experienced the same and have any pointers, I would appreciate it.

    Windows 10 Home

    v. 1903

    Last successful update: 7/10/2019

    OS Build: 18362.329

    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

    Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

    V 10.0 build 10240

    Maybe try with the Windows update mini-tool, found here http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...dows-10-automatic-updates-and-spyware.218745/ , thanks to Mussels. it installed perfectly for me last night.

    Microsoft has acknowledged this issue now:

    Windows Sandbox may fail to start with error code “0x80070002”Windows Sandbox may fail to start with "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (0x80070002)" on devices in which the operating system language is changed during the update process when installing Windows 10, version 1903.


    Affected platforms:
    • Client: Windows 10, version 1903

    Next steps: We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available in late June.
