Windows 10: Windows 10 Cumulative Update

Hi everyone,I'm handling the Windows 10 patching for the company and came into a debate with the security team.To my understanding, Win10 latest cumulative update superseded all the previous cumulative update, so as long as I install the latest one then it should cover for all the vulnerability in the past.However the security team used some scanner agent and pointed out that the machine is missing some very old update which is long time superseded and some even expired in WSUS yeah I know it's old and I'm pushing hard to switch over to Intune or at least SCCM....another topic for another day

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Maybe try with the Windows update mini-tool, found here http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...dows-10-automatic-updates-and-spyware.218745/ , thanks to Mussels. it installed perfectly for me last night.
