Windows 10: Windows 10 daily updates

Microsoft and Hewlett Packard teamed up to make my last computer incapable of running Windows 10. HP stopped support for the drivers they used and Microsoft would not or could not help me. I've assembled a new PC from components and I purchased Win 10 Home on a flash drive. I was able to get the machine up and running about a week ago. Everyday since then I have had to download and install updates for one thing or another. The computer I assembled is very fast and powerful gaming capability. The daily downloads and updates need to stop so I can use the computer uninterrupted. I know there is a pause button in the security and updates app and I am planning to delay updates at least a week at a time. I thought about using a different OS like Linux or Ios but I've already spent the money on Win 10. I see now Microsoft is going to force me to download ver. 1909 but I don't want it. Another problem that I've noted with Win 10 is that they automatically update my drivers and sometimes the new driver will not work and prevent the hardware from working e.g. Realtek Audio recently. I'm forced to manually roll the driver back to a version that will run on my PC. I can't be satisfied with my new computer until Microsoft stops trying to help me and stabilizes Win 10 so daily updates whether security related or not stop.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
