Windows 10: Windows 10 deactivated after update

After I restarted my PC yesterday, I was greeted with an "Activate Windows, Go to settings to activate Windows." watermark on the bottom right of my PC.
After using the troubleshooting feature the most useful information I found was when I clicked on "I changed hardware on this device recently" (I haven't incase that is important), which shows the computer I'm currently using, clicking on that just says "We can't reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later.", I've gotten that same message yesterday and today, so I feel like waiting won't work.

I also tried manually updating windows, which to my surprise there was already another update available, downloading this + restarting caused the watermark to disappear, but my windows is still considered "deactivated" in settings.

Windows 10 Home

Version: 1809

OS build: 17763.437


Whenever windows updated automatically (the first update), I had no internet connection and I also renamed my PC ~12 hours before the restart, however this isn't the first time I've renamed my PC. So I don't think this could of caused it but I figured it's worth mentioning. Also my PC was using Windows 8 when I first bought it, and upgraded to 10 whenever microsoft was offering free upgrades for windows 7/8 users a few years ago.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
