    Windows 10 Default Start Menu Tiles

    Greetings everyone:

    Can someone post a picture of the default live tiles on the start menu that comes with Windows 10 as basically my Start Menu stopped working and Windows Store would not work while the other apps did. I do not have a C:\Windows\WinStore directory. I did a in-place reinstall of Windows 10 RTM but even after install, all apps including Store works but I still don't have a C:\Windows\WinStore directory. Some people said that upgrading from Win7 will not have a C:\Windows\WinStore directory. In any case, the start menu works fine but the right hand side is blank where the tiles used to be, so I am looking to see what the default live tiles look like as I am able to pin different apps to the start menu and the live tiles will update. The other thing which is more weird is when I create a new user, it does have LIve Tiles which is what I am trying to clone except it has the Minecraft, Flipboard, iHeartRadio live tiles which are not even installed on the system, how does one pin things to the start menu for things that are not even installed? The newly created account somehow is missing most of the default apps including Windows Store which using the following in a admin powershell will not fix:
    Get-AppxPackage -allusers | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanife
    st.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode}

  2. Start menu is "see through" and totally empty in Windows 10

    Yes, that's the issue. There are no tile automatically shown on the full screen start menu (or on the tablet mode start menu). When I pin apps to the start menu, they stay there, but there are zero tiles by default. Do you have any idea why this is
    happening? I do not think this is normal behavior for Windows 10.

    Windows 10 - Default "Pin to Start" items

    I don't think you are understanding my question.

    I am trying to update the "Default Profile" to include a
    customized set of Start Menu Tiles prior to running SYSPREP, so that when I deploy a new computer for an employee they all get the same applications, desktop icons, start menu and
    pinned tiles.

    I can prepare a computer for sysprepping and get everything the way I want it (including the
    Start Menu Tiles), however, the tiles always revert to some other default (including weather tiles, XBox, Music, Movies, etc. --- all things that I don't want employees doing at work).

    Every other version of Windows has offered the ability to customize the default profile for System Builders and IT shops: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/973289

    Can it be done in Windows 10 Pro? If so, how?

    There is no longer a Start Screen with Windows 10. The Youtube videos and the Microsoft.com info show the standard Windows 7 menu, with the right side being tiles, instead of the older way of settings & folder choices like there were in 7.

    I'm not asking about the start screen, I am referring to the start menu, when a new user is created, does it actually get the right side tiles online because this is what the start menu actually looks like when I add a user now, I copied the vedatamodel.edb file from C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\TileDataLayer\vedatamodel.edb with a account that has the default tiles to the account as this file is basically where the start menu and the tiles are kept:

    The only thing is Minecraft, Flipboard, and I Heart Radio are not installed apps on my system, I thought only installed apps can be pinned to the start menu, how did they manage to do that? I remember when I upgraded my Win7 Home Premium to Win 10 before my Start Menu stopped working on August 11, 2015, the start menu was closer to this video's at 2:52 so it seems like when creating a new account, it is pulling a newer version of the file unless it pulls it during the install process since I did a in-place reinstall to fix the previous problem when the Start Menu stopped working all of a sudden on September 10, 2015:

    I also found that apps reinstalled using in Administrative Powershell:
    Get-AppxPackage -allusers | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanife
    st.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode}
    will work as a app but the live tiles will not work and grey out even though it will open the app while
    reinstalling the apps individually in Administrator Powershell using the package names in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps will install the app completely and Live tiles will work, seems like the previous method is only partially installing each app using the Movies & TV App as a example:

    Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.ZuneVideo_3.6.12711.0_x64__8we kyb3d8bbwe\Appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentModeFiles

    It appears that many sites are referencing C:\Windows\WinStore as the Windows Store app installation directory except it doesn't exist on my system as Windows Store is actually in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.8.25.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

    What I cannot get working is when I create a new user account, all the default apps works but Windows Store will not open on the new user account.

    You are seeing those items that your account had downloaded previously, and uninstalled, or in the case of what Microsoft is good at. They are advertising to users to download those items and install them.

    There is no one case fits all in this type of situation. A lot of us do not use the Live Tiles, because they eat up bandwidth. So we unload them or use third party utilities in place of that start menu, since there is no need in what we do, to have it be like that.

    As for Store not showing. It is a known bug that has been around since Aug. 10th.

    Never downloaded those apps and uninstalled as that's actually the Start Menu of a newly created user that is that way as soon as the user is created as it's the same when I create a new user. My start menu stopped working and basically took the tiles with it exactly 30 days after my upgrade so I had to reinstall 10240 in-place on top of the 10240. As for the Windows Store app and other apps, it seems only Calculator and Candy Crush is installed when a new account is created, even though some of the default apps shows up on the menu, they don't open as they were not installed for that user by default and it only works when I individually install each app at a time, the Get-AppxPackage doesn't work because I think it is installing things in C:\Windows\SystemApps in addition to the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. I am not saying the Store is not showing. What I am saying is my system by default has only one account under my name which is a Administrator account, I create a new account, is there anyway that the account can be created with all the default apps already installed for that user since I can understand apps each user installs on their own should be on a per user basis but how do I make it so all the default apps are installed for the newly created user instead of some of the default apps showing up on the Start Menu -> All Programs but only a few actually works because according to GetAppxPackage -allusers, it doesn't show the newly created account as a user of that app package. So I got all the apps including store working except all apps needs to be manually installed, is there a way to have the apps install when a new account is created?

    I know there is no one case fits all but there should be defaults so that I don't have to create a account and then have to manually install everything for that user. I mean people can customize afterwards.
