  2. Desktop, Taskbar, and Windows Explorer Refresh

    Hello,

I did an upgrade then rolled back to Windows 7. I did a clean install of Windows 7 and then a clean install of Windows 10.

I have tried every conceivable Microsoft Community and third party website suggestion to fix the Desktop, Taskbar, and Windows Explorer Refresh after upgrading to Windows 10. I've done Windows Update, the CMD line suggestions, killing processes suggestion,
restart shift suggestions, safe mode suggestions, etc. Nothing stops the refresh described in the subject line.

Is there some sort of software patch that is needed? Is this a hardware issue conflicting with Windows 10 since I am using a Lenovo computer pre-installed with Windows 7 (I also have the Windows 7 purchased discs).

I haven't a clue how to resolve this issue but the issue is not going away, and I am increasingly frustrated. Windows 7 indicated that my computer was compatible with the Windows 10 upgrade. I am beginning to wonder if that is true.

    Respects,

    David

    Desktop constantly refreshing

    Hi, some ideas here:
Windows 10 Taskbar and Desktop Constantly Refreshing - Microsoft Community
BEST FIX: Stop Windows 10 Taskbar and Desktop Refreshing - Appuals.com

    Another observation:
Windows 10 Desktop Constant Refresh: how can I stop the constant refreshing? - Windows Central Forums
    ...had the constant refresh problem
Fixed it thus: First switching off WiFi, then right click on start button, select the shutdown sign off and select shutdown
Then boot pc as normal - leave to do all its stuff - suggest about a couple of minutes - switch wifi back on and all was as it should be.

    Another:
    Uninstall IDT Audio (if installed).

System Restore can be unreliable. Restore now doesn't work for me with a particular message which has rarely been reported.

Having read the above, if no help, then basics:
    a. Does it happen in Safe Mode?
    b. Does it happen after a clean boot?

Windows 10 Desktop and taskbar refreshes automatically

Jan 16 2018 Windows update installed - now my desktop and taskbar continuously refresh

My HP Elitebook 2760p updated yesterday (1/16/2017) and now it continually refreshes it's desktop and taskbar. I get a moment to attempt to launch an application then I loose it and the desktop/taskbar refresh. This is not a new install as I have been
using Windows 10 for over a year on this laptop.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
