Windows 10: Windows 10 Desktop randomly / intermittently crashing on Sleep Mode

My Windows 10 PC will turn itself off whenever I issue the "sleep" command. The screen turns black and the PC will run for about 2-3 minutes before shutting down not a clean shut down, but a power off.On some rare occasions it wakes up properly.While I am writing this, it feels it might be a memory problem, but I'd still like to be 100% sure.I've done all the usual attempts to fix such as SFC scannow, scan disks etc.Please help and advise, thank you! I really want this to work.

To understand the issue better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• How are trying to start the computer from the sleep mode?
• Since from when are you facing this issue?
• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?
• Are you able to shut down or restart the machine?
• What happens when you try to come out of Sleep mode?

I would suggest you to force shutdown the computer and start the computer and check what happens.

If you are able to login to normal mode then follow the below steps to restore the power setting/plan to default.

• Press Windows + X keys, and select the option
  Control Panel.
• Click on the Power Options icon.
• Click on Change plan settings.
• Select the option “Restore default settings for this plan”.

All desktop windows are move/push-over to Main display after waking-up from sleep mode

I'm happy to find these as work-around, very helpful at least to my systems scenario.

All my desktop windows retained the exact location in both built-in and external monitor, before and after Sleep mode.

Step 1. Press the below keys before the computer turn to sleep mode

(typically, this is prior to leaving my computer for a break)

• Windows logo key + M

Step 2. Press the below keys after signing back or activating from sleep mode

• Windows logo key + Shift + M
