  1. Windows 10 Device connect/disconnect sounds lead to games crashing/stuttering

Bought a PC at the start of 2020 with all brand new parts and built it with no problems whatsoever. Around 3 or so months in I had this exact issue and fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling my headset drivers. Fastforward to now and the same issue has yet again come back where I will recieve the windows notification sounds for a device connecting and disconecting which will spam themselves over and over leading to games like rainbow six siege crashing or other games like CoD Warzone slightly stuttering. I have opened my PC and checked all connections and screws which none are loose or too tight, uninstalled and reinstalled every driver possible, checked eveyday for updates on drivers and Windows, Verifyed game files countless times and performed 2 full system wipes to zero fixes. Any help would be much appreciated.

    :)

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    • Sound settings

We would like to know more information:

    • Have you done any changes on your computer prior to the issue?
    • Have you checked if your devices are plugged/connected properly to your computer?
