    windows 10 do not see Dongle for parallel port hardlock key


    I have an instrument managed by a software whose license protection is a Dongle for parallel port Marx Cripto-Box R.

    The hardlock key works well with Windows XP. I have succesfully installed the software of the instrument in a new computer with Windows 10 and with parallel port integrated ECP LPT1; parport.sys ver 10.0.18362.1 but the software and do not find the dongle.

    Windows 10 1909 update Parallel Dongle

    Hi all,

    We run old software that uses a parallel port license dongle to verify and open the software.

    Once we update to 1909 from 1903 we can no longer open the software.

    Windows 10 & LPT Parallel Printer Port.

    Posts on some forums suggest that Microsoft has killed LPT (parallel port) support in Windows 10 whereas another post I saw indicates that Microsoft has fixed this problem due to pressure from businesses that still need parallel support. I am such a
    business. I must have LPT support for legacy software and an HP LaserJet 6P for the new computer I'm getting (which does have an LPT port). This is not optional since the old software will not work with USB and new printers. Can anyone definitively tell
    me whether LPT/Parallel ports are or are not currently usable in Windows 10 (64-bit)? Thanks for any help.
