    Windows 10 does not have Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode?


    Hello, I am on Windows 10 Home and have a program which must absolutely run in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode for it to actually run properly, I saw on the internet that Windows 10 does have such a compatibility mode and even down to Windows 95 but in truth it actually only has down to windows vista for me?

    In this screenshot I have my compatibility choices:

    I don't understand, do I need a special update or something| I mean, the compatibility choices are the same for all programs, and I tried on both Pro and Home editions :|

    compactible mode reg

    If the compatibility mode is available for Windows XP SP3 then you can set it by right clicking the program icon, select properties and then the compatibility tab. Select the option to Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows XP
    SP3 in the list of available modes.

    Windows 10 Compatibility - Civ III

    Update:

    I found a Dell Latitude D800 with XP SP3 in excellent condition and am using that to play Civ III. It would not even start for me installed in compatibility mode (XP SP3) on Windows 10.

    Try Microsoft Compatibility Administrator, a free program from Microsoft. It allows enabling compatibility modes which are hidden from the property page.
