Windows 10: Windows 10 driver for Logitech Webcam C905 USB trouble and solved

Here is, I think I need to share my experience about windows 10 driver for logitech webcam C905 here :

1. When I plug my Webcam C905 into my PC, Windows automatically install driver Logitech Webcam 905 on Device Manager. After that, I do install driver from Logitech site said lws280 . The problem appear when I use Logitech aplication for webcam, no sound and no picture.

2. So I go to device manager and update the driver not online but -> Browse my computer for driver software -> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer, then I found two drivers there for my webcam c905, they are Logitech Webcam 905 and USB Video Device, so i pick the second driver ( USB Video Device ) and all is ok when i take picture and video using logitech webcam c905, skype video call, and everything.

My Question is, why there must be two drivers that one of them not working at all and automatically update when I'm online, and must do update manually as I said on second action above. By the way, thanks to Microsoft that has provided two drivers so we can choose one of them that will work to our stuff.

So, that's all my sharing about windows driver for logitech c905 usb, hope can be understood and help anyone who come here, and sorry for the bad grammar.*Smile

Logitech - WebCam - HD Webcam C525 - Error 0x800f0203

I followed the listed steps and the webcam is performing properly and is recognized by Windows 10, I checked software and driver updates on the Logitech site and the Logitech utility states the software and driver are up to date and working properly. The
only issue I have is with Windows 10 Updates trying to update the Logitech software/drivers in the recent update and that update is throwing the Ox800f0203 error and continues to does so after all of the suggested solutions. Which puzzles me since the Logitech
hardware/software/driver is working properly.

 

Logitech c920 webcam video is offset to the right

I tried doing that before and it didn't work.

I solved it by going to device manager, clicking on imaging devices and right clicking on the webcam and clicking update driver. Then choosing to browse my computer for driver, let me pick from a list of available drivers and then choosing USB video device
and NOT the Logitech webcam. This installed the generic windows driver instead of the Logitech one. This meant all of my imaging programs like Camera, Skype etc performed correctly.

I still think this is a Logitech issue rather than an update from Microsoft.
