Windows 10: Windows 10 Duplication

So I had windows 10 on my hard drive for my last pc, and also got it on the SSD of the pc I just built. I took the hard drive from my last pc, and put it in with the new pc, that now has two copies of windows ten (one on the hard drive and one on the SSD).

My computer has been crashing in random intervals throughout a week. It will be fine for several days, and then I’ll get a day where it crashes several times in a row. I don’t believe it’s linked to how much work I’m putting on it, as it will crash even when I’m not playing high-intensity video games (it crashes more when I’m not on games strangely enough). I believe this might all be due to the conflicting files on the drives. The only problem is, I don’t want to get in there and delete everything and have it possibly mess up my computer. I’m hoping for some suggestions of what to do from some of you awesome tech brains. Some of my error messages include

“Bad system config info” or

“System service exception what failed: win32kfull.sys”

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows Live Mail duplicate contacts

Hi Bruce,

I understand that there are duplicate contacts in Windows Live Mail and I will be happy to answer your query.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to do a cleanup of contacts that are duplicated.

• Open your Live Mail.
• Click Contacts on the lower left corner of your page.
• Click Clean up contacts on the Home Tab before your name, this will lead you to connect on your web page account.
• Click Save.

Alternate way to clean the duplicates.

• Sign in to
  http://people.live.com.
• Click Manage towards the top.
• Click Clean up contacts.
• Click Save and continue button.
