Windows 10: Windows 10 DVD Player

Did you test the drive in another system to see if the drive actually still works? I actually have two drives that do that here, one is a Plextor which uses a LiteOn OEM drive that does that, the laser actually burned out and the other is a Pioneer SCSI DVD slot drive that does that, the Pioneer will randomly read if you keep fighting with the system as it will keep ejecting the disk. Didn't you say your drive doesn't work in Win8 in the other thread?

 

Yeah, I did. Both of them work. They worked in Windows 8.1, and Windows 7. I have 3 other systems with Windows 10, and the DVD players work in all 3.

 

And, actually, I did the upgrade from an .ISO that I burned in that system.

 

I have tested and found VLC Media Player, KMPlayer, DivX Player and a new player called Macgo Free Media Player all could free play dvd on Windows 10.

 

And don`t forget Kodi Player.

Kodi is awesome. I just can't remember/find the skin(had it a few years back) that let's me minimize to taskbar, all the other ones, it's either full screen or off*Sad. Cluster, do you happen to know which skin it is let's me minimize?

I actually started using Kodi with Ubuntu and liked it so much better than Media Center, I started using back in Windows 7, then 8.1, and now it's a must with 10.
I especially like the Visualizations when playing music*Thumbs
