Windows 10: Windows 10 / English (gb) optical character recognition feature / installation keeps failing

Good day,


On my Windows 10 computer the 'English (GB) optical character recognition' feature repeatedly fails to install, as shown below:






The error code varies, I've seen at least two, 0x8024402C and 0x800F0908.



Now, I'd like to know how I can turn this feature off so that the system stops trying to install it altogether. It's quite annoying to be notified about the installation failure several times a day, thank you.

Windows 10 failed to install English (GB) typing, English (GB) optical character recognition ...... error code: 0x800F0908

This problem happened on yesterday.

I did not do anything and Windows 10 start to install

1. English (GB) typing
   
2. English (GB) optical character recognition
   
3. Chinese (PRC) optical character recognition
   
4. Chinese (PRC) typing
   
5. Chinese (Simplified) Supplemental Fonts
   

And kept trying to install again and again, very annoying.

Error code for all packages is 0x800F0908.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have tried troubleshooter. No joy. I'm surprised that I've had an error like this after 10mins on my new PC with Windows 10. Please tell me what I need to do to fix this.
