  1. Windows 10 Error: 0x800f081f

    Hello,

If possible, I would like some help with my Windows 10.

I have been experiencing this issue since the 11/30/2020 update - "2020-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems KB4594440"

I went onto a thread about this new update and saw that there would be a new update on December 6th, so I ignored the issue.

Then come December 6th and I can't install the newer version of the update 12/06/2020 - "2020-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems KB4592438"

    Windows 10 Error: 0x800f081f 44298398-8230-47bf-8a19-ef64fd58313b?upload=true.png

    What I've tried doing:

    1. Running scf /scannow

"Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." -- What I got after running #1

    2. DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    "[==========================100.0%==========================]

    No component store corruption detected.

The operation completed successfully." -- What I got after running #2

    3. Running the Windows Update Troubleshooter

    Windows 10 Error: 0x800f081f 2c721189-94c8-454a-bd1c-71adc43e79c2?upload=true.png

This did not help me at all. It just told me there was an issue with my windows update, which I already know.

    4. Moving the software distribution folder

Forgot where I saw this fix, but instead of renaming/deleting I just moved it. I ran the update again and it created a new software distribution folder but the same error occurred. I did not restart my computer after moving the file, but I don't think it was needed.

I would be really grateful if someone could help me with my issue, as I would like to resolve this problem and not face any issues with Windows as soon as possible.

    :)

    Error 0x800f081f in Win 10

In case you have any doubt, here is the article issued by Microsoft..................

direct copy from the article...................... ( this method is applicable to Windows 10 )

Solution for error 0x800f081f for Windows 8.1 or Windows 8

If you receive Windows Update error 0x800f081f, it means that Windows Update cannot determine the cryptographic service provider, or a file that Windows Update requires (named catalog store) is corrupted.
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
Step 1: Use System File Checker to repair damaged Windows files
Use the System File Checker tool to repair damaged Windows files, and then run Windows Update again. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Open an elevated command prompt.
    • Run the following command:
      sfc /scannow
    • Try to install update again.
For more information about the System File Checker tool, view Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.
Step 2: Run the DISM tool
If the problem continues, use the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool to fix Windows corruption errors. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Open an elevated command prompt.
    • Run the following command: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth.
Important When you use the /online option, DISM uses Windows Update to provide the files that are required to fix corruptions. However, if Windows Update service is broken, don’t use the /online option. Instead, use a running Windows installation as the repair source, or use a Windows side-by-side folder from a network share or from a removable media, such as the Windows DVD, as the source of the files. To do this, run the following command instead:
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:\RepairSource\Windows /LimitAccess
Note Replace the C:\RepairSource\Windows placeholder with the location of your repair source. For more information about using the DISM tool to repair Windows, reference Repair a Windows Image.
To learn more about this tool, go to Fix Windows corruption errors by using the DISM or System Update Readiness tool.

    Windows 10 Error: 0x800f081f

    Error 0x800F081F

    Hi,

I have followed the instructions below until i get to set 2. and it is just jargon to me... what does mount the iso image that's created in step 1?

Is there a simple youtube video i can just follow?

    Error code 0x800F0906, 0x800F081F, or 0x800F0907

To fix the error codes for Windows 10, follow these steps:

    1. Download the Windows Media Creation tool, and create an ISO image locally, or create an image for the version of Windows that you have installed.
    2. Configure the Group Policy as in Method 2, but also follow these steps:
      1. Mount the ISO image that's created in step 1.
      2. Point the "Alternate source file path" to the ISO sources\sxs folder from the ISO.
      3. Run the gpupdate /force command.
      4. Add the .Net framework feature.
