Windows 10: Windows 10 error code 0xC004F025 after installing new hardware

First off I do not have my product key anymore. When I built this PC 5 years ago I bought a physical copy of Windows 8 from New Egg back in 2014 and was forced to upgrade to Windows 10 in 2016 so I don't have an email that is connected to the product.

This has been an issue since end of November when I upgraded my CPU, motherboard and memory.

I connected with a Microsoft rep through their chat and he just told me to restart my computer after a few weeks and it should be fine. Hasn't been the case and I still have the watermark that says to update.

Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Windows 10 Activation Error Code: 0xC004F025

So I'm having issues with activating Windows 10 at the moment. I had it running on my old rig but recently built a new one. I bought Windows 10 Home back in 2018.


At least it should be the Home version. However right now it's showing as Windows 10 Enterprise. I don't know if that's the same thing and honestly not sure if that's what it was before.







I tried troubleshooting but that didn't seem to help.









Can anyone help me figure this out?

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
