Windows 10: Windows 10 Explorer.exe crash loop

We are deploying Windows 10 1809 virtual machines from a template in a VMWare Horizon View environment. This environment has supported Win7 desktops for many years. With our initial deployment groups we are experiencing an extremely sporadic issue where the desktop will start flashing when logging in. The event log shows the following every few seconds:

We can reboot the VM and the issue does not reoccur. Unfortunately we have not discovered how to intentionally replicate this error. The only correlation we have found thus far is that it occurs after a reboot.


Need to find a solution as this will be unsustainable for our help desk once we ramp this up and deploy to our entire enterprise.


I realize this is probably not sufficient information, but I'd be happy to get anything I can.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows explorer crashing

Hi,

I am having the same problem as the OP in this thread.
Windows Explorer crashes whenever I open my external HDD or thumb drive in explorer..

I have tried the fixes listed in the above thread and I am getting the same error message as 'ktadie' (post 16). I think this is because I am running Windows 7 Professional. Windows explorer crashes when I open my 'Films' folder on my brand new 2tb external HDD. I have about 300 .avi files in this folder and some of the .avi files are several years old.

In short I believe I need the same fix given by 'Wile E' (post 7) but updated for Windows 7 Professional.

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).
