Windows 10: WIndows 10 extremely slow login

Hello everyone,


I recently started noticing that windows would take extremely long to log in to my account. I would see the prompt for my PIN, type it in and the "Welcome" wheel would start spinning. And it would keep spinning for about 5 minutes before finally logging in. I tried booting into safe mode, and the issue seemed to be gone. I dont have any startup programs that could slow down startup. I have attached my windows build on an image below.

Windows 10 Very Slow Login

Hi Arul,

What's with the slow login and unlocking in Windows 10? We're still suffering with the issue, we're using high end PCs, overclocked ones with SSDs and paid that much for speed, and Windows 10 comes to slow down our machines?!

Please raise this issue to higher level management or someone who can take a real step in fixing the issue ASAP.

Windows 10 Login Extreme Slow

Hello Microsoft !

I have done upgrade Windows 10 from 8.1 Single Language 64-bit

Since that, Windows Login has been extreme slow!!! even sometimes whole screen just black!

Please provide solution now!

This is my laptop specifications:

HP ENVY TS 14 Sleekbook

Microprocessor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4500U CPU @ 1.80GHz

Systems Memory: 8GB Micron Technology 1600MHz

Graphic Device 1: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

Graphic Device 2: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

 

Jumplist sometimes extremely slow

I bought a new laptop with Windows 10 recently.

Only after a few days, the jump lists started to get extremely slow.

But they behave that way just for a while, then they work as they should again.

When slow, it takes several minutes for the jump list to appear. It is extremely annoying. Especially e.g. when I have opened a remote desktop and want to open another one via the jumplist.

I had exactly the same problem with my old Windows 7 PC and assumed that I would get rid of that problem,
changing both PC and OS, but no.

I do not want the standard answers to this problem:

- Disable Aero

- Clear the (Explorer) Cache for Jump lists

- etc.

It is definitely something else. I mean, how would the jump list cache get full after only a week? And why does the jump list get slow only sometimes and then suddenly works just fine again?

So please, give me an answer that takes this into consideration.
