Windows 10: Windows 10 Feature Update version 2004

Upon receiving notification in Update and Security that Feature Update 2004 is available for download and install I downloaded and installed version 2004 on my laptop model HP 15 da1058tu. The update played havoc with the touch pad and pointer which became almost unusable. I could not scroll or and the pointer became extremely erratic. Doing anything on the notebook became almost impossible. I could not use my laptop. Hp Support advised a reset which I did but it did not solve the problem. I had to reinstall Windows and do a factory reset and only then the problem was solved. I have now updated up to Windows 10 version 1909 but am afraid that sooner rather than later notification for Feature Update version 2004 will again appear on the Update and Security page. What should I do then? Is any solution available for the problem I faced?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
