Windows 10: Windows 10 Feature Update Version 20H2

I have been attempting to Install this Update since 11-2-2020 . Numerous attempts produced this result :

Startup Failure: “We removed some recently installed updates…”

If your device displays this message after sign in, then your device has recently recovered from a startup failure on Windows 10

“We removed some recently installed updates to recover your device from a startup failure.”

After the most recent effort , 1-13-2021 , I visited the Microsoft Support Website https://support.microsoft.com/en-us to attempt a Manual Installation.

On the Support Page I was able to locate "Get the the Windows 10 October 2020 update" .

This Link led me to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...0-update-7d20e88c-0568-483a-37bc-c3885390d212

where another Link to the "Update Assistant" https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3159635/windows-10-update-assistant was available .

From there I was able to access the Download for the "Update Assistant" https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3159635/windows-10-update-assistant .

Using the "Update Assistant" I have finally been able to successfully Install the Windows 10 Feature Update Version 20H2 .

Summary

Windows 10, versions 2004 and 20H2 share a common core operating system with an identical set of system files. Therefore, the new features in Windows 10, version 20H2 are included in the latest monthly quality update for Windows 10, version 2004 (released October 13, 2020), but are in an inactive and dormant state. These new features will remain dormant until they are turned on through the “enablement package,” a small, quick-to-install “master switch” that activates the Windows 10, version 20H2 features.

The enablement package is a great option for installing a scoped feature update like Windows 10, version 20H2 as it enables an update from version 2004 to version 20H2 with a single restart, reducing update downtime. This enables devices to take advantage of new features now. For version 2004 devices that receive updates directly from Windows Update, devices automatically get the enablement package by installing the feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2.

If a device is updating from Windows 10, version 1909 or an earlier version, this feature update enablement package cannot be manually installed. Instead, it is bundled and automatically included with the feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2. Note the installation time is not reduced in this scenario.

Update History is not showing v.20H2

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

This is normal behavior in Windows 10, typically when you install a Feature Update like 20h2, the update history is wiped, this is to prevent the user from trying to uninstall an update that was prior to the Feature Update, which would de-stabilize Windows
10, the list should start building again, when some updates are applied to version 20h2 . . .
