Windows 10 File Explorer - Boolean Search Limits

I regularly search for specific filenames in various folders. Sometimes the list of filenames can be a few, sometimes it can be in the hundreds. In general, I create a boolean search that resembles the following:

    *name1 OR *name2 OR *name3 OR *name4 .... etc

For the most part this works if the list is not too long approximately 25 filenames. Anything above that and Windows only displays 25 results. It doesn't matter if the characters in the filenames are long or short, it always locks to 25 files in the results even though I pasted more than 25 filenames in the search box. It doesn't seem to care about character limit, just the number of files. I work around it by breaking the list down into groups of 25 and that seems to work but if there are hundreds, this can get tedious.

Is there a way to increase this limit?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. Boolean Search with Cortana

Does Cortana search support the same boolean (AND, OR, NOT) logic as file explorer?

For example I want to search for text files that contain the terms Cat AND Dog.

    File Explorer Search Not Working

I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.
