Windows 10: Windows 10 File Explorer file Details are not being saved

On Windows 10 from File Explorer when right-clicking on a .mp3 file in the Downloads directory, select Properties->Details tab. Make edits, click OK. Whatever changes are made to the details are not saved. They do not show in the Details tab when looking the next time.

Whatever changes/edits are made here seem to be ignored/forgotton. Any suggestion on how to debug/correct this so that Details can be edited and saved?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Details Pane in not visible in File explorer window

I understand that you are not getting the details of the file in File Explorer. We will help you.

I suggest you to refer the below steps and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + E keys, opens the File explorer.
• Click on the View tab in File ribbon.
• Click on the Details Pane. Check if the details are appearing in File explorer after selecting any files.

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.
