    Windows 10 file Sharing Permisions

I have two computers both running the same version Windows 10. I shared files on my home network from both computers. When i view the network folder on both computers the shared folders/files can be seen. On one of the computers all shared works as expected but on the other computer the shared folder gives an error saying I do not have permission to the files, see my admin.

When the file share was set up I gave permission to Everyone. Why do i keep getting the permission error?

    :)

You need to set the permisions, both on the share section, and the security tab. Also, Windows 7 requires the user account has a password to access the computer from the network.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
