Windows 10: Windows 10 File Sharing

Hello,


I'm currently using an old Windows 10 PC as a home file server, the server has one main share that all users can access, as well as personal shares that only the specified user can access. When I go to mount the server on my PC all the shares show up, I can't access the one I'm not supposed to but they still are visible. Is there a way to hide shares the user cannot access? It happens on my Mac swell.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Hi Brink great tutorial as usual.

I could not help but notice in step 1 you say to enable " Function Discovery Resource Publication "

In most of the posts I have read on Ten Forums they also suggest to enable " Function Discovery Provider Host "

Are you suggesting that Function Discovery Provider Host is not necessary.
