    I received the same e-mail this morning (August 31st) with a deadline of August 31st stated in the message. As a thank you for my participation the message said I would be entered into a sweepstakes for a $100 Amazon gift card. I'd like to participate
    in such a project but this whole thing seemed a bit phishy.

    2017-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4034674)

    Doing a manual install of a missing build update from July 31st as well as the one for August (KB4034674) resolved this for me.


    • I noticed that my build is two out of date so I've downloaded the July update from the MS catalog installed that first, then installed the August update.

    • win+r > winver gives Version 1703 (OS Build 15063.483)
