Windows 10: Windows 10 freeze help

Nothing has changed on my computer besides downloading a new game from steam called space haven, and a Widnows 10 update. My computer is not overclocked.

My PC: 7600k, 16gigs (2x8gb 3000mhz), 1080ti, nvme pcix4 ssd, 34" ultrawide lg 75hz

New issues:

- Games will randomly minimize

- netflicks, amazon prime video will randomly start displaying task bar in full screen

- Screen randomly goes black for a second and creates a pop sound over speakers

-sleep is turned off, but leaving the pc alone for awhile and monitor turns off. It won't 'wake' up and has to be forced restart.



Not sure what the issue could be. Really don't want to reinstall OS.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

I had tried that as well... no result.
