Windows 10: Windows 10 freezes randomly

Just giving a try with uninstalling TeamViewer version 9.... so far, good........... oh well, just happened again... what a shame... *Sad

 

same problem with random freezing. This not the blue screen version.
Started about a week after upgrading from w8.
Usually once a day, but has been up to 4 in a day. Tried waiting it out, and still frozen 6 hours later.
Kaspersky was installed at the beginning, and Acronis after this all started.
Hard restart is the only solution.
This is an Acer w I7-2670QM and 8 gb and a 1Tb drive

1. Did a firmware update on my SSD Crucial CT500MX200SSD1 from MU01 to MU02. Crucial Storage Executive Tool | Firmware Download | Crucial.com ----> Done!

2. Did this little procedure concerning the error 129: http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholm...as-issued.aspx ----> Done!

3. Did also in CMD (Admin) those commands:

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

4. Than Reboot ----> Done!

Waiting for another freeze up before going forward on another solution... I can say for now that my event log is more empty since those 3 updates...

I also have a SSD Crucial CT500MX200SSD1 that was on MU01 firmware. I have reverted back to Win 7 as I just couldn't get any work done with the freeze ups. I'll have another go at Windows 10 in a month or so but I am curious to se what resolves other peoples freezing issues.

 

I have been getting these random system freezes sometimes, they seem to last about 1 to 1 & a half minutes & the system doesn't respond at all. The mouse cursor is frozen, ctrl-alt-del does nothing etc. The system always seems to sort itself out & carries on as if nothing happened. No entries in event viewer either.

Ok, Have done an update on the network card Intel 82579V, new version of Microsoft is more recent than the one installed from Intel website... strange...

Updated via Device Manager, right click the network card and update the driver from Internet....

Let see what's gonna happend next... will update later...

 

I'm on 10525 and I just loaded Chrome for the first time today. I also installed the software and drivers for my TV card. After rebooting the system would freeze after 2 minutes.

I spent the next couple of hours researching a fix for my capture card but to no avail. I finally remembered that I had installed Chrome as well.

I uninstalled it and rebooted. The system has been working perfectly for 1 1/2 hours through several reboots. No hangs. I thinking it could be the Chrome update service, but I'm not even going to reinstall and check.

I'm fine with Edge.

 

Happens to me to - started fairly recently. Sometimes I need to reboot - once required a hard reset. Mostly I just use ctrl-alt-delete and go to the task manager. Usually resolves the immediate but is hardly a solution.

Here is probably my final update with the conclusion that: **PROBLEM SOLVED** I dont have the problem anymore.

I saw that someone in the thread said that Acronis was making the problem... he was right... but when I saw that, I uninstalled Acronis True Image 2014 and I was still getting the problem of freezing randomly.

I thought maybe it was drivers, Windows 10 problem... etc. But seems not.... I had to revert back to (before installing Acronis True Image 2014) Lucky enough, I was having a SSD image backup before the install of the Acronis... It seems that Acronis True Image 2014 damage the Windows 10, because even if you uninstall, it wont solve the problem.

Recommendation: Dont install an old version of Acronis True Image on Windows 10 and you should not have any problem.

Again, if you already installed Acronis before and have uninstalled it, you will still have the issue. You'll have to reinstall Windows 10.
