    Windows 10 Freezing

Hi all, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We have several windows 10 machines (Lenovo MIIX 320) running Kioware and meant to be on 24/7. We have the devices set to reboot the second Tuesday of every month to install new windows updates. We've been having an issue of these devices randomly freezing, and at this point no indication as to why. When this happens, the screen is unresponsive and the device goes offline. The only was so far we've been able to correct the issue is to reboot.

The most recent occurrence was this morning. The device froze at 8:42, however LogMeIn marked the device as having gone offline at 8:51. Frequently checking event logs when this occurs, the device shutdown time appears to occur after the device is frozen.

We have disabled fast startup, run disk and health checks, and have the latest windows updates (Note: we are running a LTSB version of 1607).

Are there any logs specifically I can check to see what is causing this?

    Thanks!

    :)

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
