Windows 10: Windows 10 froze during large file transfer

Hello. I recently just bought a new laptop, HP Pavillion, and a new Windows 10 32/64 bits built 1907 retailed version. When I was transferring large files on the laptop, the bts dropped to 0. Seeing that, I pressed pause and it would just load. Then, because that didn't work either, I pressed cancel and that's when everything started to not work. The file explorer is not working and any command won't work. The only things that show are the task manager, a white screen and a working cursor. I tried to force stop the laptop or force restart, but nothing. What should I do?

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Cable to transfer files

OMG. I have never met anyone who actually bought one of those file transfer things.



Firewire will do the same as USB, but faster, so will a cheap crossover cable. I can wlak you through the steps of moving data so you will not miss a beat.




Anything more than $10 to buy a cable is too much.
