    Morning all...

    I wonder if anyone can help.

    I'm having trouble with my new laptop running on Windows 10.

    After attempting a restore to a earlier time during the morning, which should only take approx 20 minutes, I found this was taking 2 1/2 hours and still not complete, so I ended it, rebooted and a message coming up saying not complete nothing had been restored.

    I decided to try again. Once again the same thing happened, but this time when I reboot all I get is the HP logo and the spots circling then the screen changes from black to grey.


    I cannot even get to my desktop.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    • What is the current version and build of your Windows 10? Follow these steps to access these information

    • Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
    • On the Run box, type Winver.
    • Press Enter.
    • A small window will appear with the information about the Version and OS build that you have.

    support link     to begin updating as well as to access the Windows 10 update history.)
