Windows 10: Windows-10 hidden 3 partitions UEFI, Recovery and Data vs virus detection

Hi, I was wondering about something.Can virus install things in any of the hidden partitions that get created when you install Windows 10 the first time?For example, wanting to boot into safe mode or troubleshooting mode implies modifying one of them so that at boot time it will do something different than booting Windows in the normal way. So in the same way, a virus could install something there to get executed.Therefore, do anti-virus and Microsoft Defender scan these partitions?I know I can mount them in Linux as drives so I can look at their content. But without any guide as to what the

For the convenience of not having to use the installation media for startup repairs. But you should be able to use your installation media to do whatever the recovery partition does(including startup repairs). AFAIK. I could be wrong about that though.

I'm not sure if I follow you there. But if you clean install Windows 10 there will be at least 3 partitions.

• (EFI System Partition)
• (Primary Partition)
• (Recovery/OEM Partition)

If you install from an OEM installation media there might(should?) be 4 partitions. Since there might(should?) be a Recovery partition and an OEM partition.

Data Recovery for Mac (OSX Capitan) ?

Anybody knows of a good data recovery software for mac? Preferably free?

I use Active@ Data Recovery for Windows, but honestly no idea what to use for Mac OSX.

Any suggestions?
