  1. Windows 10 Home Connecting to AzureAD, inconsistent behaviour...?

I've got an Office365 tenant with AzureAD free and I'm trying to join new laptops to the domain for some new users.

The laptops are running Windows 10 home.

The users are licensed with Business basic and can sign in on the web portal but during the startup of a new laptop at the signin page I'm entering the new users username (someone@domain.com) I'm getting 'That microsoft account doesn't exist'.

I'd assumed it was an issue with Home, but if I enter my glabal admin credentials it works. If I configure one of the users as global admin it still doesn't.

There is also one other user who can sign in at this point who isn't a global admin.

In the AAD portal under devices>device settings the option to allow users to join devices is enabled.

There are no other MDM / access policies / conditional access configured.

If I instead create a local account to sign in and then go to 'Email & Accounts' I can add the new user here. If I go to the 'Family & Other Users' and try to add the account there I get the same 'Microsoft account doesn't exist'.

This all works fine on Windows 10 Pro, and as I've said I'd just put it down to it being Windows Home, except that I have a couple of users who can signin on the Home device

    theme inconsistancy on Mango!

phone: HTC Titan windows phone 7.5

    Hi all

I just noticed that there is an annoying inconsistency regarding how some application deal with the theme!. Namely:

    • Emails (whatever email inbox you use)
    • office hub
    • games hub
These application ALWAYS use the "light background" theme no matter what theme i Choose!

the question is: is this a buggy behaviour? a design mistake? or intentional inconsistency which is tasteless and not smart???

    regards

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Hibernating laptop changes to sleep behaviour after Windows 10 May 2019 update

    Hi Aditya,

Thank you for your reply. I have tried the two steps (turning of Hybrid sleep and Fast startup) you suggested but to no avail. Okay, for your two questions:

    1. My laptop is a HP Pavilion 14-bf101tx, and currently running Windows 10 1903 (upgrading from 1809).
    2. Nope. No error messages. I suppose the boot process was successful, however, my battery was reduced. That's why I suggest the post title as "Hibernating changes to sleep behaviour" because the battery level reduction looks like sleep behaviour.

Please inform me of any diagnostics information you might need. Thank you for your kind assistance.
