Windows 10: Windows 10 Home edition System Restore not working

I tried to do a system restore but it wouldn't open and I received error message 0x81000203. The "solutions" on here didn't work and going into system registry, I could find no Windows NT nor a System Restore file. I hadn't needed to do a system restore for probably a year or more, so I have no idea why it's not working now.

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Turn off system restore in XP altogether...or if you dont want to, AsRocks suggestion should work :\
