Windows 10: Windows 10 Home OEM install

Hey,


I had something strange occur with an install today, and hoping someone can help me. I have a laptop that had Win 10 Ent installed. Using Windows 10 Home install media I booted into the install, deletyed all previous partitions from the previous Windows 10 Ent install, and created a new, formatted partition for the Winodws 10 Home install.


When the install completed. I went to the Activation management, and it was listed as a Windows 10 Pro install and activated with a digital license. Not sure how or why this occurred. I use a Win 10 Pro to create a bootable USB using diskpart and copied the files from the OEM install DVD top the USB. I did confirm that the install.wim file on the USB was a Win 10 Home version.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

"Flavors" of Windows licenses

Windows can be a little "odd" about license keys. There are at least 4 categories:

• Retail
• OEM
• Volume (electronic download)
• Corporate (no key needed)

For guaranteed success, the license key and media should be in the same category. If you have retail media, you may not be able to install it using an OEM or Volume license key, even though the key is valid for that version of Windows. *Wtf :wtf: Apparently, this is part of Microsoft's anti-piracy scheme (i.e., all customers are guilty until proven innocent).
