Windows 10: Windows 10 Home version 1803 does not boot after KB4516058 update (black screen with circle...

My HP Pavillion x360 laptop has Windows version 1803 on it. It had not been used for a while, and when I turned it on it installed several updates successfully, but the last one was:


'2019-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4516058)'


After a restart it hangs with a black screen and a circle of dots. When I do a system restore I can get back into Windows, but then Windows installs the same update again and I am back to the same problem.


I looked up the problem online, and it said to do Ctrl+Alt+Del then choose 'restart' from the power menu at the bottom-right of the screen, but nothing appeared on my screen when I did that


Is there a way around this, other than installing Windows 10 version 1903? Would that fix the problem? And would I be able to keep my personal files?

Stuck at black screen with spinning circle on boot after 1803 update


After I updated my Windows 10 to 1803, my PC can't boot. Stuck at a black screen(no windows logo) with a spinning circle , no HDD indicator activity. However, I can enter safe mode. What is the problem?

I am in Windows 10 14393.2046 Build and during Boot I am Experiencing Black screen with a cursor and spinning circle ,having updated my Graphics Card Drivers Up to Date and Windows 10 1607 Cumulative Updates too.Since i didnt have any startup issues in
Windows 8.1 ,10240 as well as 10586 builds and i performed all troubleshooting steps and annoyed me.I can say that it is a windows issue and you have to sort it out ,only problem is

• Login
