    I have a new HP Spectre x360 notebook with a Core i7 8565U processor, 16 GB memory, 512GB SSD running Windows 10 Home version 1903 build 18362.145. After migrating all of my software from my prior system and installing new apps, I successfully created a manual restore point and figured I was set. I looked later that day and/or the next day and the restore point was gone. Repeated the process and the same thing has happened each of the last three days.

    System Properties/System Restore has Protection On for the (CWindows 10 Home version 1903 build 18362.145 Deletes System Restore Points :) drive; System Restore Setting for (CWindows 10 Home version 1903 build 18362.145 Deletes System Restore Points :) are on with 30.5MB Current Usage of 46GB Max Usage used. Something this fundamental should not be broken. How do I resolve this issue and preserve my restore points?

    What build version is Windows 10 Update 1903?

    Hi MrSleazey,

    build 17763 is 1809

    1903 should be 18362

    there should not be a watermark on the desktop.

    to check the version installed go to settings -> system -> about

    look at windows specifications

    Windows 10 system image restore points unable to delete

    Have deleted system image backups using the windows 10 suggested method. But 2 system image rstore points are still listed under other backups. Have tried all the suggested methods on the net and from the microsoft community, but the system image restore
    points remain. Even after deleting all but the last normal restore points. I guess I can just ignore them. Would appreciate any advice as nothing seems to remove them.

    Hi Brink,

    I thought perhaps it might have something to do with Windows Backup but have always had the Manage Windows Backup disk space option set to: Keep only the recent system image.

    I deleted all the restore points for D: (backup drive) thru System Protection. Don't believe System Restore has ever been on for D: drive. Even tho doing this indicates the Restore points have been successfully deleted the 3.52 GB value always remains.

    I had to go thru a few gyrations this morning to clear the normal Restore Points I found another poster suggesting almost identical problem = System restore - weird behavior. Thought may be symptom of a larger issue.
