Windows 10: Windows 10 In-Place Upgrade to 1909 with SCCM/ECM

I have pushed out an inplace upgrade task sequence for Windows 10 1909. The update works but machines are not reporting back an updated status under deployment. The deployment says "in process" but software center shows "installed" and the OS is on 1909 now.


The pandemic has most of our staff remote but even when I run all the actions under the configuration manager applet in control panel still does not update the deployment.


I have confirm that the devices show the right version in SCCM/ECM and even go into the 1909 collection but the deployment has not updated in days.


Is there a bug or patch for this?

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

 

Windows 10 upgrade ( From 1709 to 1909 )

Working on upgrading Windows 10 1709 to 1909. Need to know on different methods or ways of Upgrading it and how SCCM CB 1910 can be used for up-gradation.

Recently we have migrated Win7 to Windows 10 1709 by following traditional method (swapping of device).

Please advice on different methodology and ways of upgrading Windows 10 from 1709 to 1909, Best Practice etc

Windows 10 in-place upgrade didn't do anything

Hi,

I'm on Windows 10 1909, and I have a lot of problems, with frequent hangs and other issue.

I saw the tutorial on the forum about the in-place upgrade, and this is suggested my Microsoft as possible solution to resolve problems with Windows 10.

I did that, and basically changed nothing, it is as before the upgrade.

Shouldn't the in-place upgrade resolve at least most of the issues (not all), should it? Is it normal? What's your experience with this?
