Windows 10: Windows 10 incorrect booting, system not restoring.

I'll try and make this as detailed, but clear as possible.

OS is Windows 10 Home 64 Bit

On boot up I got the error where the start menu fails to operate, and it say it will restart the computer to fix the problem. It did this 4 times.

Cold reboot had same results.

Went to try and do a repair/restore and it said it was unable to repair, and then rebooted.

Evidently F8 had been removed so I can't start the computer in safe mode.

It now on reboot keeps saying it is unable to boot and will restart. This becomes a loop, cant start, reboot, cant start, reboot....

I have tried several ways to try and get the system to allow me to do a repair. When I get into the repair/restore section, it only gives me a few options. I have tried repairing startup to no avail, I have tried system restore, but it keeps saying it can't restore. I installed a fresh restore USB drive, but it can't repair the system either, and when trying to install it keeps asking for a activation key, which I don't have access to as this was a free upgrade from windows 8, about 3 years ago. So I don't have any of my old disks, which wouldn't do any good since this computer no longer has a CD drive. Everything had been internet based.

So I need HELP please.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

Turn off system restore in XP altogether...or if you dont want to, AsRocks suggestion should work :\
