Windows 10: Windows 10 infinite repair loop help! into freezing

Hi, I have been troubleshooting my computer recently it started off as an infinite boot loop with the error code: log file J\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

after going through the normal processes to deal with the online, boot rec in command prompt among other things, none of it worked for me.

I ended up reinstalling windows using a bootable USB drive onto a brand new solid state drive that I just purchased to replace the one that was being used previously. the first time I did this it fully installed I got to the point of setting up my desktop everything seemed good to go then the computer froze and ended up in a boot loop once again.

A little while after this I ran into a problem where the computer was turning off and on after around 5-8 seconds my brother had taken a look at it and tried re-seating the Ram, I noticed they did not do this properly and after this, I re-seated the Ram once again and the 5-8 second boot problem faded and I reinstalled windows on the old solid state drive under the presumption that perhaps the ram was not seating correctly to begin with.

on the old solid state drive I got to the point of being on my desktop again after installing windows. I went set up a new wallpaper, went to download steam and it froze again.

booting it up looks like its going to start a boot loop once again (unsure only tried booting it up once but it brought me to a black screen)

please help!

hooking up a new powersupply, if that fails replacing the motherboard

Infinite Repair Loop

I have an HP 14-ac151nr laptop. It attempts to diagnose and repair but loops. Cannot access safemode.

Have tried startup repair
bootrec.exe with /rebuildbcd & /fixmbr & /fixboot
chkdisk

I found this while searching the forum. Startup Repair Infinite Loop Recovery - Windows 7 Help Forums and tried it. on step 13 it said "The file sizes presented here are approximate estimations, and may vary depending on your system. If any one of them are 0 bytes, then you should stop what you're doing now and seek an alternative method of recovering your system, because Windows cannot function with a 0-byte size registry hive."

Of course everything was 0-byte.*Mad

I would assume its toast and I would need to do a clean install, or maybe a repair install or something else? Not sure what is the best action at this point. Need advice.

 

Infinite loop of startup repair


Welcome to Ten Forums, Goonsoon. If your windows 10 is activated you can clean install it and it will automatically activate again. You may want to consider that if the situation is an infinite loop of startup repair. This is from the tutorial forum. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1...n-install.html . Just follow the steps, sometimes the only thing to do is start over.

When i start over do i do it on a seperate computer and install the os to usb a connect it to the Infinte loop pc?
