Windows 10: Windows 10 Insider Update Failed with Error Code 0xc1900101

I am currently on Windows 10 Insider Build 20262.1010. Windows Update automatically installed 20279.1 and asked me to reboot. After rebooting, the update is failed with error code 0xc1900101 shown in Windows Update. Now it keeps retrying and failing every day, which is very annoying. Is there a way to address the problem and fix the update process?


By the way, it also gave me an option to upgrade to 21277.1000, but also failed with 0xc1900101.

Update to 1903 fails with error 0xc1900101

0xc1900101 is one of the most common windows upgrade failure codes.
