Windows 10: Windows 10 install stucks on preparing after reboot

First, if you’re reading this, thank you in advance for your time!


I’ve been struggling with a fresh/clean install of Windows 10 during the last 3 days. Let me summarize what’s happening;

1. Old pc with a Asus motherboard, legacy BIOS working with the latest version 2010
2. Bootable usb created with the Microsoft’s tool
3. Installation goes fine copying files, installing them and so on till it restarts, and after completing the components part with a percentage it stucks/hangs on the black background with the Window’s logo and the dots yep, them frozen.

Considerations:

• Yes, I tried and left it more than 8 hours several times with the same result: no news, it keeps frozen
• Yes, I tried to repair it from the usb tool and it says that I wasn’t able to
• Nope, I cannot go back to a previous version
• Nope, my BIOS does not seem to have a UEFI version
• Running a 64 system
• I’ve tried as many solutions as possible and read a lot of post with no way out
• Yes, I removed any other hardware like bluetooth keyword/mouse

To be honest, I don’t know what else to try...any idea/comment/suggestion?

Preparing installation...

Thanks for the previous feedback. After reading your posts and being stuck on "Preparing" for 30 mins, I disconnected the phone, rebooted Windows, and then redid the procedure.

"Preparing installation" then came up for 30 secs and then the installation continued, during the course of which my phone was powered down (so I could see that it was doing something!).

Would be good if the Nokia FAQ could include the suggestion of rebooting Windows, please!

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 update stuck on preparing for installation

I downloaded windows 10 but now it is stuck on preparing to install i restarted the computer and the windows downloaded again but now it is stuck on the same place. on preparing for installation for the past hour.
