Windows 10: Windows 10 installation failed before restart

Hi. It’s me again. I’m still trying to upgrade my Windows 7 desktop to Windows 10. I did the disk cleanup first & then turned off the Windows Update. I proceeded to install through the update to this PC option& it downloaded the media tool & verified it with no problem. It skipped the updates finally & then went through the installation process. It installed Windows 10 & was about to restart my computer when it failed & then the prompt Windows 10 installation failed came up. It then went back to Windows 7. What could be the issue now? Anybody have any ideas? One person has already offered some tips, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen & what was done to fix it. Do I just need to put the upgrade on a flash drive or dvd & try it that way? I’m ready to give up. I’m trying one more time now. I’m trying the installation on a clean boot to see if that helps. I uninstalled Norton & most other programs. I only left Apple’s iTunes & iCloud installed. Should I have uninstalled those too? Any help is appreciated!

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
