Windows 10: "Windows 10 installation has failed” error from ISO setup.exe

Attempting to update windows on my corporate laptop running v1903, I was not able to upgrade to v1909 after burning the ISO to DVD and running setup.exe. I keep getting a “Windows 10 installation has failed” error after about 10 minutes of the upgrade processing attempt. Any ideas/recommendations?

Windows 10 Install from .ISO Setup Failed

Windows Update kept downloading the update and failing. After running the Windows Update Repair Tool and it still failing I downloaded the .ISO file for it. Mounted the .ISO and tried to run the setup. It gets to the screen where it says it could reboot
a few times, and then a windows appears "Windows 10 installation has failed".

What gives?

for the method I used above, I did the already deletion in the
/windows/softwaredistribution/download.

Following your advice, I did the manual reset method twice (also the step 4). But some of my dll files are failed to load during the reregister the BITS step. Below are the dll files that failed to load:

• regsvr32.exe shdocvw.dll

• regsvr32.exe browseui.dll

• regsvr32.exe msxml.dll

• regsvr32.exe gpkcsp.dll

• regsvr32.exe sccbase.dll

• regsvr32.exe slbcsp.dll

• regsvr32.exe initpki.dll

• regsvr32.exe wuaueng1.dll

• regsvr32.exe wucltui.dll

• regsvr32.exe wuweb.dll

• regsvr32.exe qmgr.dll

After doing the manual reset twice, I still could not manage to install the Win 10. It always
failed at 42% during preparing installation phase.

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
